Over half of homes available in the first phase of the Erith eco-development will be shared ownership
The Quarry site in Erith has announced the availability of an impressive number of shared ownership homes when they go on sale this autumn.
In the first phase of the launch of the eco-development, 27 out of 47 homes will be available to buy as shared ownership properties.
They will include a mixture of two bed maisonettes and three bed terraces – all with the same layout, décor and facilities as those that are available for private sale.
Christine Osborne, Regional Sales Director at L&Q, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this number of shared ownership homes at The Quarry as we kick of the launch of the development with this first phase.
"We pride ourselves on providing affordable homes to local communities and beyond in areas that need them most, ensuring that residents are living in homes and areas they love."
The Quarry is a collection of around 600 homes and a state-of-the-art primary school. The development is set to breathe new life into the disused quarry which has lain neglected for the past 40 years. It will establish high quality, considered living, along with educational and community spaces to build on the ecology of the site.
The marketing suite is set to launch this summer, where prospective buyers can express their interest in purchasing one of the homes.
The site is due to open to the first residents before the end of the year and once completed, each house will feature generous outdoor space in the form of a private garden, as well as at least one undercroft car park space.
